About Saint Michael the Archangel: Saint Michael (feast day September 29) is one of the three archangels mentioned in Scripture. His name means "Who is like God?" He's the leader of God's army and protector of the Church. Catholics often pray the Saint Michael prayer for protection: "Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil." He's the patron of police officers, soldiers, and all who protect others.
